Lijan ism Limbo’s Reject
Limbo’s Reject is my 27-minute instrumental ambient album.
This is my first solo album, all produced entirely by myself. Across the work I bring a visual hyperfixation around the planet and the stars, in order to be able to accompany the feeling of deep space.
The world is a vast area we are all familiar with, yet know very little about. The rhythms, sound-selection and melodic qualities come very unorthodox in this project to fulfill this theme.
The album cover depicts a world made out of piano keys, keeping consistent with the visuals I created for this. The song titles correlates with the feeling of living in the world, observing what goes on, but finding it a challenge to call this place home. It's easy to get lost in the thoughts you get while you're in this Limbo state of mind, trying to find your place in the world. Escapism isn't always accidental, for me personally it was easy to escape in music and sound.
